Moremi said my heart was pretty.

Moremi said I was a beauty,

That only God could make.

Moremi said "Beware the snakes,

For they smile beautifully,

And kill, rather tragically."

Moremi taught me "The world is beautiful."

So, I made her mine, because she is beautiful.

Moremi's Smiles lit a world in me,

Though they weren't for me.

Not anymore, not since he came,

He smiled with her and stuck his claim.

Moremi has begun to forget me,

I am now but a memory, you see.

I am sorry Moremi, letting you be,

is the end for me.

Moremi said my heart was pretty,

I am afraid it really isn’t.

I have resolved to take my world,

like a coiled snake, I have unfurled.

I will hold her in my arms,

and whisper in her ears.

Moremi, with this knife,

I will take us to the afterlife.

Moremi said "Beware the snakes,

For they smile beautifully,

And kill rather tragically."

I guess Moremi was wrong.

I was not pretty.

I was a snake, and I ate my world.
